Troop 87 has chosen the Brighten Village area to place bags out for the annual "Scouting for Food Drive"

Scouting for Food is scheduled for November 3rd and 10th.  Scout members will be out in the neighborhood on the 3rd placing the bags on doors and will return on the 1oth to pick up the filled bags.  Smile

Patrols will be assigned areas inside the blue lines to place bags out on November 3rd and pick them back up on the 10th.   Cool

Each year, the South Texas Council which covers seventeen counties has a food drive for the local food banks.  Each year for the last seventeen years, the council has collected over 100000 pounds of food that is taken to the local banks.  Troop 87 has participated in the last six drives and has collected a total of 30000 pounds in the six years.
